    The company started its business offering services for the textile industry, in a rented space but, as time passed by, the company made investments in machines and tools and in 1996 it built its own location for production and a headquarters in Dumbrava Rosie, Neamt County and another production facility for metallic confections. At the moment, LERA has its own complete infrastructure, equipment and production facilities.

    Once the company built its own location, the activity expanded from that of service to that of production. The production process regarding the production of equipment and spare parts for the textile industry comprises metal cutting operations and locksmithery operations and here are a few of the products executed:
      Production of spare parts, accessories and tools for the textile industry and for other industrial fields;
      Execution of elements for gear transmissions, belts, shafts.
    The development of the business towards the production activity appeared as a necessity to adapt to the market conditions, the volume of activity the business started with (services in the textile industry) decreasing rapidly, due to the restraint of the activity of the big industrial platforms in the area. Starting with 2002, the production activity oriented towards the field of production of semi-finished metal constructions. The main reason of choosing this particular field of activity was the identification of a promising market niche in the field of metallic constructions. Here are some of the products: stainless steel rails, metallic stairs, metallic ramps, modular elements for exhibitions, metallic shelves, metallic furniture, and metallic cabinets for technical equipment. The production process related to this activity comprises locksmithery operations (cutting, polishing, grinding, drilling, threading), cutting operations (cutting, milling, mortising, rectifying) and welding operations.

The company produces:
    Stainless steel rails and stainless steel stairs;
    Corrugated aluminum and stainless steel tube for ventilation, acclimatization and central heater installations;
    Moulds for plastic injection and for cutting and drawing;
    Gears (indented wheels, chain wheels, helical wheels)
    Transmission wheels, special bearings;
    Various metallic confections and stainless steel interior decorations;
    Aluminum elements for roofs in civil and industrial buildings;
    Spare parts, accessories and tools for the textile industry.
    Due to the increased number of orders, especially in the field off metallic constructions, the management decided to buy, in March 2008, a semi-automatic hydraulic CNC bending machine. The machine displays a powerful hydraulic unit with digital setting and CNC control for an easy operation and maintenance. The main features of the machine are: high bending speed, with the possibility of angle setting during the last step of thee bending, hydraulic clamping and optional pressure die assist; incorporated chuck and automatic mandrel extraction, bending repeatability and bending accuracy: +/- 0.15 degrees.
    By purchasing this machine, the efficiency of thee company increased by over 25% according to the general manager of the company, Mr. Sorin Lecusescu. Moreover, the company is now able to produce stainless steel rails and stairs in a larger variety of patterns, with highquality finishing and fast execution.
